West Virginia and its coaching staff has offered the top Linebacker in the country. Antoine Sampah, class of 2020) hails from Woodbridge, Virginia and plays at Woodbridge High School.
Sampah, 6″1′ 203 pounds, has already visited the Mountaineers program. “It’s really great! The facilities are so nice and it was a really fun visit today,” said Sampah to DubVNation’s Recruiting Coordinator, Cody Moyer. “The coaches are great,” he continued.
Besides his offer from the West Virginia Mountaineers, the sophomore standout has offers from Cincinnati, East Carolina, Louisville, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia, and Virginia Tech.
“I’m looking for somewhere where it feels like home and the atmosphere is great and where my skills can really be developed,” said Sampah about what he’s looking for at the college level.
Antoine told DVN he models his game after Ray Lewis, the legendary Linebacker from the Baltimore Ravens who played 17 seasons in the National Football League. Lewis was one of the best Linebackers to ever play the game of football.
To be the best you have to play the best and Sampah likes that about the Big 12, “I think it would make me a better player since I would be playing against some of the top offenses in college football.”
Antoine Sampah already has a good start of being the best at his position. He was an integral factor in Woodbridge Academy being the best defense in the Commonwealth of Virginia last season. Sampah helped the Vikings to reach the Virginia Class 6 State Semifinals.
