Oscar Tshiebwe of Kennedy Catholic (PA) is a top 50 player in the class of 2019, is a four-star recruit, and the best player in Pennsylvania.
Earlier today, the highly coveted recruit narrowed his college list down to eight schools, and WVU made it.
The 6’9″ 230 pound center also has Virginia, Ole Miss, Kansas, Kentucky, Baylor, Georgetown, and Illinois on his list, so how can WVU possibly compete with the blue-bloods of college basketball?
Tshiebwe has a special connection with the Mountaineers that he will never have with any other program, his brother is currently enrolled here… and he’s also on the basketball team.
Sagaba Konate is Tshiebwe’s half brother, and after seeing how successful Konate has been, Tshiebwe feels that he can follow in his footsteps.
This would be a huge get for the Mountaineers and Coach Huggins, as he is known as the best rebounder in the country and plays the same ferocious style of defense as Sags.
