West Virginia recruiting coordinator Zach Motley has extended an offer to Deland High School (Florida) wide receiver Dionte Marks. “I would’ve never thought they would offer me. Chills went through my body. It feels amazing for them to give me a huge opportunity.” Said Dionte.
Motley has made quite the impression on the young man from Florida. “The first day he got in touch with me, he told me I wouldn’t have to worry about the offer, today it came true. It’s all love!”
Marks has grabbed the attention from other Division I programs such as Florida Atlantic and Central Florida.
Dionte tells DubVNation he would fit right in to the West Virginia offense. “I feel like it will fit very well, with me as an explosive speedy receiver and can catch. Having other talented players like that next to me, it would be crazy!” said Marks.
Coming in at 6’2” he is a big target on the field. Marks has great hands, securing the ball before he turns up field. He gets himself in between the defender and the ball. He out jumps defenders for the ball, grabbing the rock at its high point.
Once the ball is in his hands, that’s when he is the most dangerous. Dionte not only out runs the defense but bounces off defenders and spins out of tackles.
Marks has been getting attention from schools but wants to improve his game, but wants to improve on route running.
There’s only one player that Dionte is familiar with coming out of the Mountaineers football program and that’s Tavon Austin.
Currently there is no scheduled visit.
