According to the conference’s annual preseason poll, West Virginia is tabbed as the 2nd best team in the Big XII heading into the 2018 season.
Oklahoma, No. 1 in the preseason poll, received 46 of the 52 available first-place votes while the Mountaineers received two. Texas Christian, Texas and Oklahoma State round out the top-five with Kansas State, Iowa State, Texas Tech, Baylor, and Kansas filling in the bottom half of the league.
This marks the second time the Mountaineers were selected to finish in the top-2 after being ranked No. 2 in the 2012 preseason poll.
