University of California Los Angeles Cornerback Denzel Fisher has officially committed to WVU.
Denzel Fisher, 6″1′ 175 pound Compton, California native, has just one year of eligibility remaining when he gets to the Mountaineer program.
The Redshirt-Junior Defensive Back played in six games in 2015, 10 in 2016, and seven in 2017. In his 23 games of action he has recorded 30 tackles, 18 of them unassisted tackles.
Coming out of Centennial high school in Los Angeles, California, he was a three star corner. The 31st best corner in the nation in 2013 and the 45th best recruit out of the state of California.
Fisher will join a group of WVU corners that have a lot of experience as it is. That being said, Fisher should be able to make an immediate impact in the Mountaineer secondary. He comes with experiences facing some of the top passers in the nation from a strong football conference in the Pac-12. Denzel should be able to bring a diverse point of view in defending some fierce passers in the Big 12.
Certainly a strong addition for Tony Gibson’s Mountaineer defense.
